*The next night, at the park*

Anzu: Ah, this has been really nice Yuugi. How long has it been since we've been able to go out like this, just the two of us?

Yugi: *light blush, fiddling with something in his pocket* A-ah, t-too long....

(If Yuugi's 21, I'm going to assume that Anzu's been to America and is back for now.)

Anzu: It's funny, Central Park is much bigger and fancier, but somehow I think I prefer Domino City park...Hey look Yuugi! There's an ice cream vendor over there!

Yugi: Yup! Can I buy you an ice cream? =3

Anzu: Sure thing Yuugi. I just hope it won't be too slippery like the one back in Central Park; it took me forever to clean my blouse off!

(Let us see if Yuugi can refrain from imagining what that would look like.)

Yugi: o.o... *notgonnablushnotgonnablushNOTGONNABLU-cough! - snags her arm and pulls her over to the vendor* What flavor would you like, Anzu? =3!

Anzu: I was thinking something sweet...really sweet. *She runs her fingers through Yuugi's hair*. Like Strawberry, you know?

Yugi: *blushblushblushBLUSH...n-nodnod* Sweet . . . yup, that fits you, Anzu. =3 *to the vendor* One strawberry on a cone and a vanilla swirl on a cone, please. =D

Anzu: *is enjoying her ice cream* So tell me Yuugi, what do you plan on doing now that you're 21?

Yugi: *sees his opening!......and mentally/verbally STUMBLES* Ah....w-whatever...y-you're planning. I-I mean.....um.....no, wait....TT////TT

Anzu: Relax Yuugi, it's not like you've been planning for tonight for a long, LONG time, right? *She says this with a knowing wink.*

Yugi:  o.o!!!  H-how did y-….I-I mean, how do you know?  *small, nervous grin*

((quick question . . . are we still at the Mazaki residence and Mom and Grandpa came over, or did Yugi and Anzu go over to the Kame? Just making sure I'm on the same page LOL XD;;;;))

Yugi: *glancing a few times at the Mazakis too, including them - nervous and excited and...GAH!* Mom, Grandpa, y-you know how I've been saving up for a long time now for something really important? *they nod and Yugi gently takes Anzu's hand, holding it out so everyone can see the ring* W-well . . . I finally got it a-and..... *blushblushblush, looks up at Anzu* =D

Yami: *watching from an out-of-the-way corner of the room, arms crossed, fond look in his eyes for /both/ of them - PROUD of his aibou and HAPPY for the both of them!*

Mrs. Mazaki: *Wipes a tear of joy from her eyes* Oh Anzu, I always knew this day was coming.

Mr. Mazaki: Heh, I'll admit I've always been a little doubtful of you Yuugi, but I think you've proven more then worthy of my little girl.

Yugi: *shrinks back just a bit at Mr. Mazaki's first words, but /grins/ at the last* Thank you, Mr. Mazaki! I do my best!

Michiko: Oh, honey! Congratulations to you both!!

Grandpa: *sits back, arms folded and a grin on his face* I've been wondering when you two would finally come around to each other. ^_~

Anzu: Sometimes these things take a while, Grandpa Mutou. But I think it was worth all the wait.

Mrs. Mazaki: So, have you two decided on the big day?

Mr. Mazaki: Because if you haven't, you can let us take care of that.

Yugi: *shifts uncomfortably - should they have already?, h-he doesn't know...* Ah, n-no, not yet... *glances at Anzu*

Michiko: *GRINNING, to the Mazaki's* If there is anything I can do to help, /please/ let me know!

(Note, I just remembered the names I used for Anzu's parents in a fic, so I'm going to use them here.)

Hana (Mrs. Mazaki): Believe me, we will!

Akira (Mr. Mazaki): Say, Mr. Mutou, you don't suppose we could go and get a drink, since we're going to be inlaws now? My treat!

(I was also wondering if we might go back in time, to Yuugi stumbling upon Anzu and his mother talking. To each other. Possibly sharing, horror of horrors, baby stories and pictures and other anecdotes! Embarrassment city!)

((And I think that wraps this one up too. \o/ Sure! I'm up for that. Heh . . . you mind if we do these two idea - this one and Mom/Yugi over the dress - one at a time, though? 9,9;;; It's been kinda weird playing two completely separate points in life for the same two characters in the same reality, at the same time - mah poor brain no likey! LOL.....))

((Yeah, I can see that this would be tricky to handle two roleplays like that. So how's about we do the "Michiko finds Yuugi's pretty princess dress" role play first, and do the "Anzu and Michiko are talking, Yuugi fears terrible embarrassment" role play after that. And since you have the role play journal, you go ahead and start it off! I look forward to this next one, seeing as these two were a lot of fun!)
