All three boys jumped as the tray was dropped, even though Anzu didn't actually slam it like she'd done the tray of burgers the last time. Jou, for one, counted that as a Good Thing, but then she leaned over and it was all he could do to yank his eyes to the ceiling. Oh, look, florescent lights. What a novel idea! ...help?
"Not on purpose," Honda murmured in response to Anzu's first comment, his eyes locked on the unwanted wings. He couldn't make any promises, though, especially not with that slimeball in the corner. That had to be the reason for Anzu's abrupt change of tone, too.
Jou pulled his eyes back down to Anzu's, and the serious look was the same as the one he'd given her the first time. "Yeah, Anzu . . . we'll be giving huge tips. Don't worry," he assured her, his tone devoid of innuendo. He glanced around the table and got a nod of agreement from Honda, and from Yugi...
Yugi finally raised his head, the blush blossoming across his cheeks again as he got another look at her, but his eyes on hers as he asked, "Why didn't you come to the Kame? You know me and Grandpa would be more than willing to help out. And it'd be a legitimate job, not a charity..."
